Very few people have standard feet and some of you will have a lot of problems finding shoes that fit.

Common Problems

• Orthotic wearers often need extra depth in footwear.
• Different sized feet need split sizes.
• Bunions and Hammer Toes need extra width and depth.
• Narrow or wide feet are often not catered for in off the shelf shoes.

You may have a particular medical conditions or care for someone who has mobility problems.

Diabetes, Arthritis, Sensitive Skin, Painful or Swollen feet. Whatever the issues I aim to work with you and your podiatrist or health care professional to find solutions.

I can also supply a custom made Total Contact Insert (TCI) an orthotic device that helps to distribute the weight of your body over more surface area of your feet thus reducing the possibility of pressure points.

When Podiatrists supply you with an orthotic they will often recommend extra support from your footwear as well. Steel Shanks and firm heel support as well as cushioning in specific areas are often necessary in your custom made footwear.

What to expect

I will need to meet you and take measurements as well as consulting with you about your needs and your physical condition. I then supply a quote before I go ahead. I usually do a midway fitting to ensure that the finished product will work well for you.

How long will it take?

It is usual for orders to take 3 months to complete but I will give you an indication of this at your appointment.
