About Me

I love to teach and collaborate with others, which in my experience brings out creativity in everyone. I’m enthusiastic about passing on my skills and making comfortable as well as stylish footwear. I am a practitioner member of APMGFA (Australian Pedorthic Medical Grade Footwear Association) and have completed a National Pedorthics Course.

My Experience

I trained at Cordwainers College in London, and have been making shoes and teaching shoe making over the past 25 years. I moved from the UK to Tasmania in 2003, and have designed and built a purpose-built workshop, with full disabled access. My workshop is 20 minutes south of Hobart, situated in a tranquil rural area. It enables me to make shoes and teach classes and courses of up to 6 people.

In 2007 I helped put together an exhibition of art shoes made by myself and 3 others from the Tuesday Group. We were featured in 2 publications called TEXTILE fibre forum and FELT MATTERS - the international feltmakers association magazine. We are in the planning stages of our next exhibition which is scheduled for October 2009.
